Northwest Philly Handyman is a licensed and insured Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor founded in 2021 by Jon Miller. We help homeowners with everything from home maintenance and repairs to custom organization solutions to furniture assembly and more. We focus on small projects to help you better enjoy your home and your time. 

In 2023, Lee Elliott joined Northwest Philly Handyman as our resident Handyma’am. Prior to becoming a Handyma’am, Lee was a high school science teacher in Philadelphia. Lee’s work includes carpentry, painting, furniture assembly, and a wide range of home repairs and updates. 

Jon earned a BA in English from North Carolina State University, worked at outdoor gear and clothing retailer REI for over 15 years, and worked as a Realtor in Philadelphia for 10 years. Prior to starting Northwest Philly Handyman, Jon spent some time as a stay-at-home dad during the height of the pandemic. 

Jon lives in the Wissahickon neighborhood in Roxborough (conveniently close to the Custard Stand and Stanley’s Hardware) with his wife, two daughters, and their dog Frida. Together they enjoy hiking and biking in the Wissahickon and playing at the local parks and playgrounds.
