Just wrapped up a replacement window installation in #chestnuthillpa. In this house, we did seven Marvin windows. Storm door replacement in #chestnuthillpa. This model is the Anderson 3000 series. This model is a full light, class from top to bottom, with a built-in screen. The screen is attached to the upper pane and rolls up like a window shade. For someone who wants more airflow there are interchangeable screen options where the full height is screen but with those you'll need a place to store the screen or glass when not in use.

Lee has been hard at work painting the shelves. After another coat of paint, we'll attach the backs and bring them into the closet for installation.

Work in Progress: Custom built-in closet shelving using 3/4-in birch plywood.

Over the next few days these will get facings to cover the plywood layers on the front and then they'll be painted with a Sherwin-Williams enamel paint to get a nice smooth finish. After that, we'll install the units in the closet and attach them to the walls.

We built a dog elevator!

Penny is an older dog with bad hips who's having trouble getting up the stairs to her second floor home. We built her this elevator so she can ride up and down in style. Most of her projects are small but Penny is such a sweet dog that we couldn't resist helping her out.

After she gets used to it I'll post another video of her taking a ride.

While we don't do a lot of bigger jobs there are some that we will do. We painted the entire downstairs for customers in #roxboroughpa and then they asked if we could refresh their first floor powder room. We replaced their vanity, mirror, lighting, and tile floor.

Not pictured: Replacement of the drop ceiling with drywall and reinforcing the floor framing since it was severely lacking in adequate support 😳😳😳.

It's the little details that matter. One way to end trim is to cut it square and paint the unfinished end. Here we've added a return to the end of the quarter round for a cleaner more finished look.

Stair Repair . . . How to fix a broken step? Remove the step, remove nails and old adhesive, use wood glue and clamps to bond the pieces together, reinforce the step, glue, and nail.
